You Need to Hear This

PREMIERE: Vita Bergen – "Curtains"

Know this: We heard them first.

You know the feeling when you are so proud of finding a new band that you tell all your friends about them so you can claim them? And make sure that no one else finds their tracks and post them on Facebook before you? It’s like the game King of the hill I used to play as a child. That's the exact same feeling I had last autumn with Swedish duo Vita Bergen. However, at that time I didn’t post them on Facebook, instead I instantly booked them to our launch party in Stockholm.

Annons

Vita Bergen translates to “the white mountains” and refers to a hill in the southside of Stockholm that was used for laundry drying back in the days. Or so I’ve heard. People who lived in the area put their white sheets, curtains and knickers up on the hill to dry and that made the hill look just like a white mountain. Nowadays Vita Bergen is a hill/park where happy young people hang out during summers and drink and listen to music. Vita Bergen's self-titled debut mini-album will be released on October 22 on Kning Disk/Telegram Studios. In many ways you’re listening to the king of the hills this very moment – who are putting out their single, ”Curtains,” to dry.

Vita Bergen will be playing live on these dates and places: 11/10 – KB, Malmö, Sweden (Support Markus Krunegård)
16/10 – Helsinki, Finland
