Premieres

Premiere: Teddybears ft. Baby Trish - "What's Your Problem?"

Teddybears have teamed up with 12-year-old Jamaican problem solver Baby Trish.

Everyone, everywhere, in every country, got problems. Problems are suppose to be fixed, right? If they weren't supposed to be sorted we would at least have a word for "not having a problem". Anyway, sometimes you need a helping hand to solve your problems. It seems like Teddybears do too. All of you who are familiar with Teddybears know that they have done some super fun, odd and great collaborations with names such as Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, Cee Lo Green and Robyn. Even with Snoop Dogg, which brings my thoughts to Jamaica and their next collab, I mean problem solver. Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce to you… Baby Trish!

Annons

Baby Trish is a 12-year-old Jamaican singer who Klas Åhlund, Jocke Åhlund och Patrik Arve met three years ago. She's about to travel to Stockholm, Sweden, to hang out with the bears for a week, record tracks, play at the Swedish Grammy Awards, shoot a music video, and get to know how it feels to be inside warm winter jacket for the first time. Today we’re premiering the track they recorded in Jamaica, upon meeting that first time three years ago, called “What's Your Problem”. It's a pretty impressive statement for a nine-year-old girl to act against xenophobia and racism in Sweden as well as in the rest of the world. I mean, what did you do when you were nine? I surely didn't stand up for society more than helping my neighbours walk their dogs. For cash. But yeah maybe I can cure my age crisis by telling myself that me and Trish are similar after all – hanging out with animals all the time and all that.

So you don't agree, huh? Now, what's your problem?

"What's Your Problem" is released via Universal tomorrow. You can listen to more of Teddybears on Noisey and Spotify as well as keep yourself updated via their Facebook page for more Teddybears feat. Baby Trish stuff. This is just the beginning.
